More Visual Metaphors!

I do work for a company that coaches executives. The company uses a number of techniques to make these executives more effective leaders. One of these techniques is the visual metaphor, and that’s where I enter the picture. The client is asked to provide a brief three-step metaphor explaining where they were, where they are now and where they want to be. It gets handed to me, and I have to turn it into a three panel sequential illustration. Sometimes the metaphors are highly detailed, and other times they are nebulously vague.

This individual was pretty specific, and yes these illustrations are all supposed to be part of a sequence. In the beginning, he’s dealing with his job responsibilities at the frenetic pace of a plate spinner. (Cue the Ed Sullivan intro and Saber Dance music!) Next, he’s running an emergency room. In the third, he’s a cowboy. I’m not sure why. I just provide the illustrations.

These are digital illustrations made with a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator.
