Wormfest 2 – The 2011 Benefit for Brian C Williams

Worm’s Warriors gathered once again at Duffer’s Tavern in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania for Wormfest 2 – The Second Annual Benefit for Brian C Williams and His Fight Against ALS.

It was a little chilly and the gray skies constantly threatened rain, but the weather held off, and the event was a smashing success. There was plenty of people, food, fun and the best perogies I’ve ever tasted!

There were silent and Chinese auctions featuring tons of fabulous items. There was something for everyone from Yo Gabba Gabba toys for the kids (Thanks to our buddy Ken over at Wild Brain) to sports memorabilia for the big kids!

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder of the nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord which control voluntary muscle movement. As ALS progresses, it effects the muscles associated with speech, swallowing, chewing and breathing. The median onset of this horrifying disease is 50 years old. Unfortunately, Brian was diagnosed with ALS in June of 2010 at the youthful age of 26. The goal of Brian’s family and friends is to raise money to eliminate financial stress from the Williams family and provide Brian with funds to maintain his quality of life. Please come join us for a good cause and a good time as Wormfest continues!
