Foaming Hand Soap

HandSoapEvery week, I make a grocery list – sometimes it gets left behind on the kitchen table. Such was the case last week when the hand soap was running low in the bathroom and the kitchen – and I forgot to buy it. I was busy, it was raining, and I really didn’t want to run back to the store, so I made some!

You can use shampoo, baby wash, Dr. Bonner’s Pure Castile soap – I used dishwashing liquid because it’s what I had lying around. The formula is one part soap to five parts hot tap water. Combine the two, gently stir to combine, and refill your bottles. I made a huge batch and poured it into a gallon jug. Foaming hand soap is now something I can leave off the grocery list that I leave on the kitchen table!
