Alice Lajeunesse Vertefeuille

AliceVertefeuille

Last week’s photo which had a number of names scrawled on the back, turned up some interesting information. Lisa, a woman from my hometown, led me to her family’s Facebook page. I was able to identify one of the women in the photo as Parmelie Vertefeuille.

Pouring through more of their family albums, I found a group portrait taken in 1916 and spotted the name Alice Lajeunesse Vertefeuille, wife of Alfred. One of my cousins recently mentioned that our grandmother had a sister named Alice, I began flipping through my stack of photos and found this shot of Alfred, Alice, and their daughter – another mystery solved! Thanks Lisa!

I restored the photo – the original scan is behind the cut.
