Heading East in 1981

Discount General MerchandiseHere’s another Photo Elective shot by Tina Garceau. As I’ve said before, all sophomore students majoring in illustration at The Philadelphia College of Art were required to take a minor course in photography where the students would take and process black and white, 35mm images. I lived in South Jersey and commuted to school, while Tina lived in and shot her photographs around the school’s downtown Philadelphia campus. This is about a block away from the school’s former location. This is the corner of Broad and Locust circa 1981.
