Look-Out Sister!

This is a fascinating curio from the late 1940s that I discovered on the Internet Archive channel on my Roku box. It’s a low budget Western featuring an all black cast and starring The King of the JukeboxLouis Jordan! The plot is a threadbare cliche about a struggling ranch and unscrupulous characters trying to steal the deed, but the reason to watch it is the wall-to-wall soundtrack and musical performances provided by Jordan and his Tympany Five.

You can watch Look-Out Sister! embedded above, and if that doesn’t work for you, head over to the Internet Archive and watch or download it for FREE!
