Here’s a card I did back in the late-’80s/early ’90s that crams together three holidays. Seems I had slacked off somewhat and was in need of catching up on my holiday correspondence!
This one was done in technical pens probably on bristol board.

In an effort to stave off ever mounting clutter, Tina and I exchange handmade cards instead of gifts on most holidays. This was the Valentine’s Day card I gave her this year. It’s based on a hapless chap I saw having a loud and fairly dramatic cell phone conversation in a store in Philly. With his coiffure, couture, swagger and the patois he picked up from far too many hip-hop records he tried mightily to shake off his Caucasian origins however the red hair and pasty complexion were a dead giveaway.
This was done using brush markers and colored in Photoshop.
