Crime Collage by Tina Garceau

crime collage

This was collage I created while in Bob Hires’ Photoshop class at Moore. Prior to this, I was creating collages the old fashioned way by painstakingly cutting copies, photostats (remember them?) and photos with a razor knife. This one was done digitally using clipart, photos, fabric and 3-d objects placed on a UMAX scanner I had at the time and composited in Photoshop 4.0 on a Power Macintosh 7300 (My first mac.)

A funny story is that I wanted a bullet casing to make my collage complete. My husband suggested we pay a visit to my father-in-law who used to work at the Frankford Arsenal. After a couple hours poking around Dad’s garage and traipsing down memory lane, I ended up with bullet casings of every caliber imaginable. I thanked him by including his photo at the top of the collage. He’s the dapper gent with the hat.

  1. I’m not sure if I should be worried about the Bullet Casings or the Fill In The Blank Card

It’s Two Face’s cousin, half of him always yearned for Casual Friday!
