Why I Love Philly

BOMB BOMB BAR-B-Q Grill

Occasionally my son and I wander aimlessly along the streets and alleys of the City of Brotherly Love seeking sites we have seen or may have missed or never knew were there. It’s similar to a nature hike, but we seek concrete and neon rather than flora and fauna. The other day, we were walking on Passyunk out towards Broad Street. We’ve walked this route before, and what we would usually do is turn North and head home. That day we went South and I’m glad we did. We turned on Wolf Street and a few blocks in we spied this fantastic sign. This is the Bomb Bomb Bar-B-Q Grill at 1026 Wolf Street. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed when I shot this so we didn’t sample the food, but I’ll head back there some time to eat.

The Bomb Bomb has a website that details its fascinating history. Read about it here.
