Because I am Cruel and Have Crap Taste in Music

I’m breaking the seal on a new category, boys and girls. This is sort of a snapshot of an unkempt corner of my brain that probably resembles an episode of Hoarders. This is a category where I trot out the little ditties that get lodged in the forefront of my mind and run on an endless loop driving me to the very brink of sanity. In doing so, I am sort of passing on the runes and sharing the affliction.

I am fascinated by the detritus of  the ghosts of hipsters past. For one brief shining moment, it all seemed like such a good idea, but it gets buried in the back of a closet hoping never to be seen again. Move along. Nothing to see here. I think a lot of people hoped  that this stuff was tossed down some fiery memory hole never to be seen again, but no such luck! It’s all on display somewhere on the internet like some enormous, labyrinthine thrift store from which there is no escape!  If an image or video has been digitized, it keeps coming back just like Christopher Lee in an umpteenth Dracula movie. This is a category where I go pop cultural dumpster diving and dump the contents on to your lawns!

The sad thing is that I truly love a lot of this nonsense!

I’m sorry, but I love this song. Everyone knows that music reached perfection in 1985!

  2. Wyatt Earp says:

This is one of my guilty pleasures.

  3. Tina says:

Wyatt- I must say, that’s a beaut. It’s got everything – big hair, limousines, police chases, rockets, ultra vixens, and explosions! I have to say that I was entranced by their fishnet covered mugs. Thanks for sharing!

I love it too although it gets stuck in your head and that’s the reason for this category of posts. You’re trying to concentrate, and the little voice is going “POP-POP-POP MUSIC” or “La-La-la-la la-la-la-la-la” and madness ensues.
