Merry Christmas from Vietnam!

What’s Christmas without Bob Hope?

Christmas just isn’t the same for me without a Bob Hope Christmas Special so here’s a little blast from the past courtesy of the good folks at The Internet Archive. It’s the 1967 Bob Hope tour for the troops in and stationed around Vietnam. You can watch a preview here at Willceau Illo News or head over HERE to watch a streaming version or download the show in its entirety that you can watch on your computer or burn to DVD. It’s in the public domain so it’s ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Still interested in Vietnam in the 1960s? Check out my buddy Dan Love’s Flickr Photostream. He served over in Nam and saw Hope’s show a couple years after the show posted above. He has been scanning photos that he took while he was over there and has been posting them to Flickr. It’s a fascinating document of a place and a time. Check them out HERE!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
