Quilty as Charged!

Another week and another sewing project!

Designing the pattern in Illustrator

With a new member of the family arriving in May, I decided to welcome her with a quilt. I worked out a pattern in Illustrator of rectangular rows varying in widths and heights. I chose five fabrics, three of which were from Denyse Schmidt’s Hope Valley collection. I scanned the fabrics into Photoshop and began to drop the patterns into my grid as a visual aid to myself. Once the design decisions were made, I cut the squares and sewed them together.

Congatulations Kasey and Brian! We’re all looking forward to Sophia’s arrival!
