Our Town

While walking up Carpenter Street in South Philadelphia, I spotted this tiny toy kingdom on the sidewalk. It was created by the kids of the Hawthorne Cultural Center day camp. It was made of popsicle sticks, cardboard and bits and pieces that would have ordinarily been destined for the recycling bin, the attention to detail was amazing, I pulled out my camera and took a few shots.

This lucky homeowner has a greenhouse!

An old time movie theater and a hardware store.

I adore the telephone poles – they did such a terrific job! Where can I sign up?

By the way, what’s with the three name roll? Jan Michael Vincent, Sarah Jessica Parker, F. Murray Abraham, Proof Positive Blog – it just seems so – formal.
