Horribly Realistic!

There was a long period in comics where you could always count on ads featuring either fake vomit or artificial dog droppings. I always wondered where this sort of stuff was made. Was it a factory that specialized in novelty bodily excretions or was it a small sideline for a bigger plastics plant?

Lou, if you’re done with the novelty ice cube trays, do you think you can get to the fake throw-up this afternoon?

The Fake Throw-Up ad appeared in Marvel’s Greatest Comics No. 48 published in 1973. It featured a reprint of a Lee/Kirby Fantastic Four comic from 1967.
