It Came From the Save-A-Lot

truck-mascot-head-2DSCN0646Here’s another example of that urban phenomena known as Truck Mascots. Truck Mascots are usually discarded toys or stuffed animals that truckers rescue from a sad and sorry fate in a landfill and lash them to the grill of their vehicles like a cartoonish flying maiden on a ship of old. Generally, I’ve seen them on garbage trucks which makes sense in that they usually discover the homeless toys on their routes. This one was on a Ford F-150 in a Save a Lot Parking Lot in South Philly.
