Collecting – More Hall Westinghouse

HallWesthse

A few more Hall Westinghouse pieces from my collection. The green dish is from Hall’s Hercules line from the early forties, similar to the orange one from this post. The canary yellow dish with it’s stylized Art Deco look was called Ridged and manufactured in 1952.

It’s often identified as a refrigerator dish, but it’s actually part of a three piece bakeware set given away with the purchase of a Westinghouse stove. It measures 8.5″ x 5.5″ and is 4″ tall making it loaf pan size. Not that I would ever bake bread in my beautiful, canary yellow, rectangular baker – but it’s nice to know that I could!

I’m looking for a yellow Nora pitcher. Did it come in more than one yellow? The photos on line often look different – sometimes butter yellow and sometimes lemon yellow. Can you help describe what the true color of the vintage item is?

Hi Barbara – I’ve seen them in antique stores in both lemon and butter yellow. I’m no expert, and I don’t collect the pitchers, but they may have been manufactured in different years – thus changing the hue of the glaze.
