When Captain America Throws His Mighty Shield

truck-mascot-head-2Cap-Amer-truck-det…or should I call this one The Winter Soldier?

Last week the State of Pennsylvania took a wintry shellacking from a very busy Mother Nature in the form of an ice storm which downed trees taking power lines with them. Thousands were without power and may still be in the cold and the dark upon the publication of this post. Work crews have been working around the clock attempting to turn the lights back on. It looks as if one such work crew has jumped into the spirit of their duty by adorning their utility truck with a patriotic truck mascot.

Generally truck mascots are discarded toys adorning garbage trucks, but this may be the first time I’ve seen or noticed one on an electric company’s utility vehicle. It’s a pretty fitting truck mascot in that these fellows are coming to the rescue of people caught in the sinister clutches of a particularly brutal winter.

Cap-Amer-truckGo get ’em, Cap!
