Happy Tết

DragonHead

Just around the corner, Le Viet – a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant was celebrating Tết – a holiday which marks the first day of the lunar new year. There were firecrackers, drummers, and a Lan – an animal that’s a cross between a lion and a dragon used to scare away evil spirits – also a symbol of strength in the Vietnamese culture. For an area that’s known as The Italian Market, this part of Philadelphia hosts all walks of life and all flavors of cuisine.
