Outside of Little Pete’s

We’re back again with more fabulous but somewhat damaged frames of film from the early 1980s. The year is 1981 and Tina Garceau is outside of Little Pete’s restaurant trying to fulfill a class credit requirement by snapping photos in Philadelphia for a photography elective class all illustration majors were mandated to take.

Chancellor Street - 1981She snapped a few frames outside of this Philadelphia mainstay on 17th Street, but it looks as if they got messed up during the developing process. Getting the 35mm film wrapped around the reel in the processing tank in complete darkness was always tricky. A lot of masterpieces were similarly damaged. That was life in the analog days.
