Nature’s Lego

No food post today – our neighborhood pool opened on Friday, and we spent the weekend swimming and lounging. It’s always fun to get reacquainted with the pool staff, what’s not fun is stepping on one of these. I’m not certain what kind of tree produces these pods, but they make stepping on your child’s Legos a piece of cake!

That almost looks like a sweetgum ball.

I’m gonna have to ask if anyone knows what kind of tree they fall out of. Most of the trees around the pool are oaks.
