I was thinking I would make a pancake and bacon breakfast in honor of Joe’s birthday, but it felt all sorts of wrong. How could I make him a card that was a tribute to his love of Pop-Tarts and throw a plate of flapjacks in front of him? After a little research, I discovered this recipe<\/a>\u00a0for homemade Pop-Tarts via Deb from Smitten Kitchen<\/em>. I had so much fun making them! I love her suggestion of making a savory version, it’s definitely something that I’ll be experimenting with in the near future.<\/p>\n
