As I’ve said before, all sophomore students majoring in illustration at The Philadelphia College of Art<\/em> were required to take a minor course in photography where the students would take and process black and white, 35mm images. I lived in South Jersey<\/a> and commuted to school, while Tina lived in and shot her photographs around the school’s downtown Philadelphia campus. Here she has a shot showing a transit bus stopped at the intersection of Broad and Chestnut. A crowd of women and children are boarding the bus and heading somewhere South. Maybe they were seeing a movie playing in one of Chestnut Street’s many now extinct movie theaters<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
