The newer sketchbook was purchased at a local Walmart strangely enough and is the same brand and make as a 7-inch by 10-inch pad and the halved sketchbook, but it feels noticeably different. The smoother texture seems to take the water soluble graphite pencils a lot better. I don&#8217;t know if Canson&#8217;s stock varies that much or if Walmart gets irregular lots.
