Built in 1859 by architects Edward Collins &amp; Charles M. Autenrieth, the\u00a0fa\u00e7ade is a\u00a0Renaissance Revival style. It reminds me of a wedding cake &#8211; well, if a wedding cake were made of\u00a0iron, brick, and terra cotta &#8211; it&#8217;s a gorgeous building. The store closed it&#8217;s doors in 1977, miraculously, it was saved from the wrecking ball and it&#8217;s been redeveloped with shops and office spaces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was running errands in town yesterday, when I passed The Lit Brothers building on 8th and Market.
