Twenty two years ago on a rainy Saturday morning, Joe and I got married. I should clarify, it wasn’t just raining, it was pouring like a platoon of firemen were pointing their hoses at the windows of our house. Since the church was a block and a half from our home – the original plan was to walk to church, which I did, under a golf umbrella. Apparently, rain on your wedding day is good luck. It was also a lesson that things don’t always go as planned, so sometimes you just have to wing it. My shoes were damp, but I had just gotten married to the best guy in the world. Not a bad trade-off!<\/p>\n
