It was the least I could do since The Boy was handling dinner. On Saturday, I made cinnamon raisin bread, but challah or a day old country loaf will work just as well. Serve with hash browns, sausage, fresh fruit, and be sure to make someone else wash the dishes! Hope you all had a wonderful Mother&#8217;s Day!<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 tablespoons honey<\/li>\n<li>4 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>pinch of kosher salt<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 teaspoon cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1 cup half and half (or whole milk)<\/li>\n<li>1 loaf of day old bread<\/li>\n<li>4 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 300\u00ba. Heat the honey for 15 seconds in a microwave.<\/li>\n<li>Whisk it in a pie plate with eggs, salt, cinnamon, vanilla, and half and half.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the bread in 1\/2&#8243; slices. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large pan over low heat. Dip each side of the bread in the egg mixture, and place 2 to 3 \u00a0slices in the pan. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Keep warm in the oven, and repeat for remaining slices.
