Long before Elf on a Shelf<\/em>, my mom had a half dozen of these guys perched on her curtain rods standing guard over the living room. Much like my neighbor who gift wraps her air conditioner, when mom’s elves made an appearance – you knew Christmas was coming!<\/p>\n

Last weekend while the Boy and I were out taking a walk, we ducked into my favorite neighborhood antique store where I spotted this elf. Of course, I had to take him home with me – and now he’s keeping company with the reindeer and the Santa figurines on our tree!<\/p>\n
