It was a comic adaptation of Ray Harryhausen&#8217;s 1958 fantasy epic <em>The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.<\/em><!--more--><br \/>\n<a title=\"Marvel Spotlight on The 7TH VOYAGE of SINBAD\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/willceau\/52164285006\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52164285006_1a55e2ca7c_c.jpg?resize=526%2C800&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Marvel Spotlight on The 7TH VOYAGE of SINBAD\" width=\"526\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>My guess is that Marvel was taking another shot at licensed property steeped in sword and sorcery. The comic publisher had a great deal of success with their comics based on Robert E Howard&#8217;s <em>Conan the Barbarian<\/em>.
