It was a big hit at the old homestead, delicious for breakfast or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert! <!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 3\/4 cups flour<\/li>\n<li>1 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 teaspoon baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons lemon zest<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>1 cup sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00ba. Line a 9&#8243; x 5&#8243; baking pan with parchment paper and grease.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.<\/li>\n<li>In a medium bowl, whisk lemon zest, butter, eggs, oil, sour cream, and lemon juice. Stir in the dry ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 45 to 52 minutes, testing with a toothpick.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For the Glaze:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 1\/2 cup of confectioners sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Whisk together, spread half of the mixture on the cooler loaf, refrigerate for twenty minutes, and repeat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This lemon loaf is perfection with a cup of coffee or tea.
