\"\"I continue to throw graphite at the unwilling little sketchbook of which I have written about lately. I’ve had no evidence of anything close to supernatural brilliance bubbling up from the pad’s cheap little pages, but I continue to make a go of it. I’m using it as a sketchbook should be used in that I am trying to craft compositions on pages that are the shape of an average comic book panel. In my typical freelance work I was never afforded the opportunity to draw monsters clobbering one another or damsels in distress. I usually did humorous spot illustrations that accompanied a light newspaper article. They were fun, and I was glad to do them, but it wasn’t monsters kicking the tar out of one another.<\/p>\n

So I’ll continue to rough out figure positions and fight choreography in the crappy little sketchpad from Five Below<\/em> as I sit on a couch with a cat and a spouse.<\/p>\n
