It&#8217;s simple to make, using just a few ingredients you probably already have on hand. The glaze is optional, but we just couldn&#8217;t help ourselves! <!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups flour<\/li>\n<li>2 1\/2 teaspoons baking powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons orange zest<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00ba. Grease an 8 1\/2&#8243; x 4 1\/2&#8243; loaf pan, line with parchment.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl, whisk flour and baking powder together, set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, zest oranges and add sugar, using your fingers or a fork and combine them together. Whisk in eggs until smooth, then add melted butter and juice.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flour mixture and whisk until just combined. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, testing with a toothpick. Let cool in pan for 20 minutes, then remove and let finish cooling on a wire rack.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup confectioners sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 to 3 tablespoons orange juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix sugar and juice until smooth and drizzle over cake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Boy and I made this light orange cake over the weekend.
