More Visual Metaphors!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I do work for a company that coaches executives. The company uses a number of techniques to make these executives more effective leaders. One of these techniques is the\u00c2\u00a0visual metaphor,<\/em> and that\u00e2\u20ac™s where I enter the picture. The client is asked to provide a brief three-step metaphor explaining where they were, where they are now and where they want to be. It gets handed to me, and I have to turn it into a three panel sequential illustration. Sometimes the metaphors are highly detailed, and other times they are nebulously vague.<\/p>\n

This individual was pretty specific, and yes these illustrations are all supposed to be part of a sequence. In the beginning, he’s dealing with his job responsibilities at the frenetic pace of a plate spinner. (Cue the Ed Sullivan<\/a> intro and Saber Dance music!) Next, he’s running an emergency room. In the third, he’s a cowboy. I’m not sure why. I just provide the illustrations.<\/p>\n
