Then pour in a bowl and add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Bake and you have a lovely cake. If you like, you can top it off with a glaze. <!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 large navel orange with peel, cut into eighths<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 3\/4 cups flour<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon baking soda<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup confectioners sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon orange zest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00ba and grease a 9&#8243; x 5&#8243; loaf pan and line with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li>Toss the sliced orange in a blender and process until it&#8217;s broken down until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add the butter, eggs and, sugar and process until well combined.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the wet ingredients into a large sized bowl then add the flour mixture until well combined.<\/li>\n<li>Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Test with a toothpick.<\/li>\n<li>Let cool for 15 minutes, then let cool on a wire rack.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl, whisk confectioners sugar, orange juice, and orange zest and drizzle it over the top of the cake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An easy cake &#8211; blend a whole orange in a blender, add sugar, eggs and butter.
