As I am working on my digital illustrations and vector graphics I often save versions of my files as I go along in case I have to backtrack. It might be that I have turned down a creative blind alley or that a hard drive has given up the ghost. Both situations have happened more than once which is why I save versions of projects in a few different places.<\/p>\n

Such is the case with today’s illustration which I call The Countess Amarela<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Countess<\/em> was an earlier version of what I thought would be a lady vampire but wound up becoming The Widow<\/em><\/a>. I think I was doing the elements separately, and I had this version of her head isolated on a yellow background. I was rooting around some hard-drives when I found this version which I rather liked.<\/p>\n

Eventually, I did do my lady vampire which can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
