It was basically a do-the-night-before recipe. But what if you forgot to like I did last week? I&#8217;ll let you in on a little trick I learned &#8211; if you use rapid rise yeast you can cut the proofing time from 12 to 18 hours to just 2 to 3! Same delicious bread but in less time. <!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\" data-uid=\"0\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">3<\/span> <span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cups <\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">bread flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\" data-uid=\"1\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">2 1\/4 teaspoons rapid rise yeast<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\" data-uid=\"2\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1 \u00bd teaspoons<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\" data-uid=\"3\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1 \u00bd<\/span> <span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cups <\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">warm water<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-7309-step-0-0\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Using a wooden spoon, mix all ingredients in a large bowl . The dough will be sticky, that\u2019s ok. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let it proof for 2 to 3 hours, until doubled in volume.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-7309-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Ten minutes before the proofing time is over, heat the oven to 450\u00ba and place a Dutch oven in the oven while it preheats.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-7309-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Sprinkle some flour on the counter and turn the dough onto the counter, to form it into a round shape. You may have to dust your hands with flour to prevent the dough from sticking to them.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-7309-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Using a dough scraper or large knife, move \u00a0the dough to a piece of parchment paper.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-7309-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Take the Dutch oven out of the oven, and transfer the dough into the Dutch oven using the parchment paper.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-7309-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Place the lid on and bake the bread for 30 minutes.
