Because it requires you to whisk the filling constantly for about 20 minutes &#8211; I considered that my workout &#8211; so, I could enjoy a big, fat slice guilt free! <!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 &#8211; 9&#8243; pie shell, baked<\/li>\n<li>1 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup flour<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg yolk<\/li>\n<li>2 cups milk<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Blind bake a 9&#8243; pie crust. Prick the bottom of the raw crust with a fork, line with foil or parchment paper, and fill with beans, rice, or pie weights. Bake in a preheated 425\u00ba oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden. Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In a double boiler, add sugar, cocoa powder, flour, egg yolk, and milk. Whisk constantly until it thickens to the consistency of custard &#8211; about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in butter. Pour hot custard into pie shell.
