I&#8217;ve made a number of augmentations to it to keep it youthful, useful and vibrant since it came into my possession a little over 4 years ago. It served it&#8217;s users well long after much younger models have been consigned to the scrap heap.<br style=\"text-align: center;\" \/><em><\/em><a title=\"PowerMac G4 with More Augmentations by willceau, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/willceau\/5438571801\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5295\/5438571801_f6d85d6bd2_z.jpg?resize=456%2C640\" alt=\"PowerMac G4 with More Augmentations\" width=\"456\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a>It was a replacement for a younger and faster eMac that gave up the ghost shortly after its warranty expired. I bought this Mac and added a processor upgrade, video card and a PCI SATA card making it much superior to the all-in-one model it was replacing. It was for my son and he rode it hard for the past 4 years.
