Capewell&#8217;s<\/strong> glass negatives that he shot about 100 years ago. I don&#8217;t have any information as to the identity of this pair, but the girl appears in a number of the 200 glass negatives in my possession.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Capewell<\/strong> and his family lived on Broadway in Westville, New Jersey which is just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the entire 5&#8243; x 7&#8243; negative.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Little Girl and Old Timer by willceau, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/willceau\/6883946193\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7179\/6883946193_4848501226_z.jpg?resize=640%2C451\" alt=\"Little Girl and Old Timer\" width=\"640\" height=\"451\" \/><\/a>Sadly, some of these negatives are in poor shape while others have given me virtual prints better than I imagined that they could. This is one of the photographs that are somewhat worse for wear. It&#8217;s still a fascinating shot that was probably made around the same time as the other negative. I wonder if the old timer told tales of The Civil War.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the glass negative as I shot it.
