This is another birthday card Tina made for me a couple years ago. Once again, she is using the Joe Head<\/strong><\/em><\/a> that she used in this card<\/a> and practically every birthday card she makes for me. It’s her running gag.<\/p>\n

The card is a combination of vector and raster art created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.<\/p>\n

The Joe Head<\/strong><\/em> is from a black and white photo that Tina took of me when we were first dating in the early ’90s. I bought the gigantic Buddy Holly\/Roy Orbison glasses in 1987 complete with photo-gray prescription lenses for $40. I wore them in work and was met with derisive laughter so I switched to my less flamboyant wire frames I bought at the same time. When I started dating Tina, she saw the big red pair and heartily approved. Either Tina is incredibly indulgent or what didn’t work in 1987 worked in 1993. Take a look.<\/a> You be the judge.
