I never leave the house without two things – red lipstick and my point and shoot. I recently acquired a new camera, which was smaller than my old one and it’s case was too bulky for my bag. I decided to sew a new pouch using some leftover fabric and a piece of cord.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This is an easy project and quick – I finished this in less than a half hour. Let’s get started…..<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Cut two pieces of fabric and one piece of quilt batting 5″ x 16″. \u00c2\u00a0Place the two pieces of fabric right side facing, and lay them on top of the quilt batting – pin together.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Place the cord in between the pieces of fabric 2″ from the end and pin into place.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sew around three sides, leaving the cord end open. Trim excess cord.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At the top of the sewn edge, locate the center and measure out 2 1\/2″, mark with a fabric pen. Then measure 3 1\/2″ down and mark, draw a line and sew. Cut off excess fabric.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Turn right side out, fold in raw edge and sew.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fold up the cord end, it should measure 5″ in length, pin, and stitch up the sides.<\/p>\n
