\"\"<\/a>John B. Capewell<\/strong> came from a large familiy so I have a number of glass negatives in the Capewell Collection<\/strong> with a number of what I’m guessing are cousins, aunts, uncles and such.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This shot appears to have been made a little later than a lot of the shots I’ve posted recently. Some of the familiar faces look a little older.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Ella and John Capewell<\/strong> are standing in the back row. It looks to be their sons beneath them in the middle row. My guess is John, Jr<\/strong> is on the left and Henry O<\/strong> is to the right of his brother.<\/p>\n

I noticed that the boys looked older, and I wondered where all of the men-folk had gone. There are plenty of wives and children and a few older men, but where are the husbands? Was this during World War I, perhaps?<\/p>\n

Here is a shot of the entire negative.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>As with all of the photographs in the Capewell Collection,<\/a> I placed the 5\u00e2\u20ac\u00b3 x 7\u00e2\u20ac\u00b3 glass negative on a lightbox and shot them with a digital camera locked down on a tripod. The \u00e2\u20ac\u0153processing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em> was done digitally on a Mac using Adobe Photoshop.<\/strong><\/p>\n
