This tablecloth was given to me by my neighbor, Lydia several years ago. I had tucked it away in a drawer in my china cabinet under a stack of serving platters and forgot I had it! Needless to say, rediscovering it was a pleasant surprise. Like the market tablecloth<\/a>, there’s no sewn in tag, kitchen themed, and the 4+ color combination dates it to the early 1950s. There are a few tiny holes, and a couple of stains on this one – although I really don’t mind, it just means that it was loved and used.<\/p>\n

I’m smitten with the gray\/pink\/green color combination, and the simple, stylized line work is wonderful. The border of this tablecloth reminds me of the staves and bar lines in sheet music and the vegetables, jars, and utensils are the notes. I also like the shish kebobs that frame the pink rectangle in the center.<\/p>\n
