There is a new station available for the Roku, and if you’re interested, I would install it on your box and watch it’s offerings as soon as possible.
Time Machine Channel has a small but surprising selection of mostly A-list movies and TV shows along with a number of Saturday morning curiosities from the 1970s such as Shazam! and Ark II. With it’s fairly decent logo I thought it was a professional channel, but when I noticed that it had no advertising and no subscription fees, I realized it was some sort of wildcat, amateur escapade that may last until the cease-and-desist order comes from the various copyright holders. Until then, I think it’s worth chasing down for classics such as Alien, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the extremely rare and excellent first Nightstalker movie and Killdozer which is like a good version of Steven King’s Maximum Overdrive.
The link to load the Time Machine Channel is here.
Don’t do Roku, my connection is too slow.
What a shame. When I got my first Roku, I found it surprisingly watchable despite the DSL connection I had. I was going standard definition on an old tube TV.
