Read this students, QUIETLY!

Weekly Reader 29My Weekly Reader from the Spring of 1972. I found this in a crumbling folder of ancient homework and handouts from grade school circa 1972. Teachers would hand these out and make the students read them QUIETLY so they could cadge a cigarette or three in the teachers’ lounge and ponder their life choices. I have no idea why I hung on to these things.

    I have a number of these. They are not very good, and I have no idea why I’ve kept them for years.
