Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies

These chocolate chip cheesecake cookies aren’t going to win any awards for looks, but they are so good! Soft cookies with a dollop of sweetened cream cheese in the center. Perfect to bring to your next cook out!

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk

1. Preheat oven to 350°, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
3. In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to butter mixture, until well combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and egg yolk until smooth.
5. Scoop cookie dough onto baking sheet. Using your thumb, make an indentation in the center of each cookie.
6. Fill each indentation with a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture.
7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until cookies are golden brown and the cream cheese mixture is set.
8. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
