KOLA is a set of eight color filters that you hold in your hand and place over the lens or the flash of your camera to color your photos. They can be used on any kind of camera – film, digital, lomo, phone, or DSLR.
I mounted my camera on a tripod and shot a photo of my neighbor’s geranium plant, then applied various filters to the lens to get the effects below.
Then I raided the fridge – the dark blue filter was an interesting result.
I imagine that you could also stack the filters, and tweak the results in Photoshop. These color filters are a relatively inexpensive gadget, they’re compact enough to stash in a small camera bag, and a lot of fun to play with surprising effects!
