Brian C Williams First Annual Benefit For The Fight Against ALS

Mark your calendars! September 18, 2010 is the date for the Brian C Williams First Annual Benefit For The Fight Against ALS. Duffers Tavern in Glen Mills, PA is the place! More specific information can be found at the event’s Facebook page here!

My nephew BrianWorm Williams has recently been diagnosed with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Obviously, it’s been hard on Brian and his family physically, emotionally and financially. Here’s some info from the event’s flyer:

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder of the nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord which control voluntary muscle movement. As ALS progresses, it effects the muscles associated with speech, swallowing, chewing and breathing. The median onset of this horrifying disease is 50 years old. Unfortunately, Brian was diagnosed with ALS in June of 2010 at the youthful age of 26. The goal of Brian’s family and friends is to raise money to eliminate financial stress off the Williams family and provide Brian with funds to maintain his quality of life. Since this is the first annual event at Duffers, we are starting off with a big bang.

From what I am hearing, it’s going to be a terrific event featuring:

• Lots of food and beverages!
• Entertainment including DJ Shifty,
The Real Feel, and MORE!
• Cash Texas HoldEm Poker Tournament with
Cash Prizes – $5, $10, and $20 buy in!
• Silent Auction- we already have a lot of amazing items
that have been donated and there are more to come!
Bring your check book and cash –
credit cards will not be accepted.

• Games – Pong, Kan Jam, Minute To Win It, and
All Of The Best Tailgating Games!

I designed the logo as well as the Worm’s Warriors emblem above featuring Brian’s dog Ozzy. It’s been silk screened on to tee shirts and I can’t wait to see them!

Again, the event is September 18, 2010. The specifics are here!
