Portrait of a Grandmother as a Young Woman


Pardon the James Joyce reference. Another photo of the grandmother I’ve only heard vague stories about from my father, who was six when she died. I love everything about this photo – the pince-nez, her choker necklaces combined with the pendant, and the way she posed. Original scan behind the cut.
