Tremendous news — the enormous electric boot is back on Broad! It’s been fully restored and illuminated!
Having heard that The Boot and Saddle’s fabulous sign had returned to it’s rightful place, I headed over there armed with a couple of cameras. I had done this before to see a physically restored sign, but much to my delight, the boot was alight!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the original lit up, but it is a beauty!
The way it was for years — fascinating but sadly weathered.
