The upside to getting up really early in the morning, is having time to bake cookies and eating them for breakfast. Cherries and chocolate and a great combination!
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup diced cherries
- Preheat oven to 350º.
- In a large bowl, whisk the dry ingredients together. Add the melted butter, milk, egg, and rolled oats.
- Stir in chocolate chips, then gently fold in cherries.
- Drop tablespoons on a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake until golden, about 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
